A Men’s Workshop For You? (The King In You Needs To Show Himself!)

As you know, the King, or Heart Centred Leader, is the archetype which can change your life. It is the energy of compassion, strength, courage, discernment, resilience, achievement, order, nobility, heart-centredness, grace, wisdom, forward planning, effective execution of plans, revision of strategy when required, care for self and others, and decisiveness (among many other qualities).

It is also the archetypal energy least present in the world today – and, sadly, the most needed. There are many false kings who would have us believe that they are the leaders we need. But sadly they only appeal  to the frustrated, the dispossessed and the powerless, who respond to the call of the false kings with readiness.

With, in fact, an eagerness to be empowered. But usually the history of disempowered people who are offered power seems to suugest they often wish to take power from those who have it, whether used wisely or not, in order that they can vent their own anger and frustration. Sadly, this is often violent. I do not believe violence is necessarily a precursor to empowerment of the diempowered. What is needed is compassion and mutuality….

Indeed, to sum this up, what is needed is an approach to Kingship – or, rather, heart centredness – in both societal evolution and our  own personal development work which is based up on the true energy of the King archetype. (Refer back to the qualities listed above!)

There is no better place to learn about this energy than in a group of men. Compassionate men, men who embody the King to a greater or lesser degree. Men who can act as elders; men who can demonstrate simply by the way they are in the world, what it means to be a true King.

And where are you to get such an experience? One answer is in the King workshop being offered by myself  and my colleagues in march 2027.

You can find out all about it by reading what happens during this workshop, what our hopes are, and how we can help you find your own inner king here.

The staff team for this workshop includes men who have walked the walk and lived through their struggles, to emerge as compassionate, heart centred  men who are willing to support other men, to the extent that we can, to their own brighter future.

Our experience is varied and wide; for example, Sam Adams is a man with exerience in coaching men to become whole again after life has “compressed”  and wounded them. His byline is “Helping men change their lives for good”. Literally.

Steve Cooper is our elder and sweat lodge leader. Decades of exeprience with native peoples have given him a  fine sensitivity to the energy of spirit and the land.

I have led about 70 and facilitated on about another 20 weekend workshops, those 70 being led by myself with my wonderful support team, many of whom have been with me from the start of my own journey in the area of men’s work. This has shown me that often the key element of change for men is compassionate support and understanding of wounding. Of course, men must want to change…. Read more about me here.

Simon Chinnery, who is also working with me on the King workshops, is a man who has a fascinating and varied past. Starting out in life as an artist, and then moving into the City of London, he has also been deeply involved in men’s work from his midlife.
